Modern diesel car owners thus need to be conscious of the importance of maintaining their diesel particulate filter through driving habits and practices. Do I need a diesel particulate filter (DPF) to pass the MOT? A diesel particulate filter check has been part of the MOT test since 2014. If a filter has been removed, the car will fail its MOT.

If the AdBlue tank is not topped up at this point – we recommend a minimum top up of at least 3 litres - the ‘Refill AdBlue No start in XXX miles’ message will appear. You will be able to
Account closed. T6 Pro. 6 Jul 2016. #2. I have the 204 engine which is very similar - we're only on 750 miles and the Adblue has gone from 4500 miles when new to 4000 then stuck there. I was a little worried about it but the engine is SO much more refined and better on fuel that the worry has gone out of the window.

I have an Audi A6 company car with Adblue. The warning came on for the first time so I purchased 3.5L for £7.50 when filling up at the garage next fill. It has only lasted 1700 miles before the warning came back on. I will have to buy adblue in bulk or it looks like it will be expensive at that price
Good result BUT if your car hasn't had any recall items changed then you need to go to your local dealer and ask about them. Specifically the AdBlue wiring and AdBlue filler cap. If the cap hasn't been replaced it can cause the pump to burn out and then it's nearly £1000 to replace the complete tank as the pump isn't available separately. vrWOE.
